23 Ramadan 1435: 21 July 2014

Before praying, every Muslim must perform ritual ablution.  Hands, mouth, nose, face, forearms, head, neck, ears, feet and ankles must be washed in clean running water and this is why you will always see a small toilet block and washing sinks outside a mosque.  In the old days in the desert where there was no water then sand would suffice but now most of my Muslim offroading friends use bottled water for this purpose

Today’s mosque is located in Wadi Khutwa, Oman
