In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Express Yourself.”
Driving in the desert one autumn morning last year I startled an owl which then flew out of a bush and landed in a small sand bowl beside me. Β In five years of desert driving I’d never seen an owl in the sand and certainly not in daylight hours!
By it’s surprised expression I reckon it’s thinking Β “First time I’ve ever seen a Desert Diva up close!”

Thanks Tina – my car window was open so I shouted out “stay there til I get my camera, don’t move” – and it didn’t. Such an obliging little bird π
