The Desert Diva You are never sure what you will find in the desert, but even I was surprised when I found this old JCB near Madinat Zayed in the Western Region. It wasn’t any old digger, this was one emblazoned with a thistle (national plant of my native Scotland) – in a previous life held up traffic all over the Kingdom of Fife. This photo was taken in August 2013, on our annual summer trip to the Liwa area.
